Dato’ Amin is currently the Director of Corporate Affairs of Medika Natura Sdn Bhd. He was formerly the Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of WZ Satu Berhad. He is also independent Non-Executive Director, Mudajaya Group berhad
In a career spanning over 30 years, Dato’ Amin has served as the Independent Non-Executive Director of MYP Ltd, a company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange as well as the Managing Director of Dubai Group Sdn. Bhd., Rio Capital Sdn. Bhd. and PJB Capital Sdn. Bhd; Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Investment Management Sdn. Bhd; Executive Director of Smith Zain Securities Sdn. Bhd; and Senior General Manager and a Director of RHB Asset Management Sdn. Bhd.
He was also the past President of the Malaysian Association of Asset Managers and a member of the Listing Committee of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Dato’ Amin graduated with a Degree in Economics and International Politics from University College of Wales, Aberystwyth and has a Master of Business Administration Degree in Export Management as well as International Business from City University Business School, United Kingdom.
Azmi started his career as a Team Leader and Country Director in 2000 with KPMG Kuala Lumpur and from 2006 till 2009 he was the Audit Partner of Tentsver Orgil Audit LLC.
He was the Managing Partner and Shareholder of CNM Audit LLC from 2010 till 2014. He left CNM Audit LLC and joined Asian Metal Exploration Consultancy Sdn Bhd as the Chief Financial Officer till 2016. Subsequent to that he became the Financial adviser of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad.
He is currently the executive chairman of SM Track Berhad as well as the Managing Partner of ABO Consultancy Sdn Bhd, Advisor of Crowe Horwath Mongolia TMZ LLC and Managing Partner of Wall Bridge Consulting LLC. He also sits on the board of directors of Multi Sports Holdings Ltd.
Azmi is a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants, Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Member of the Mongolian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from University of Humberside, Hull, United Kingdom.
He has over 40 years’ experience in the insurance field, having joined Guardian Royal Exchange Bhd (later to become AXA Affin General Insurance Bhd.) in 1975. During this period, he was actively involved in the Insurance Institutes and Insurance Associations of both Malaysia and Indonesia, serving in various capacities.
In 2002, he was seconded to PT Assurance AXA as the President and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and a member of the Board of Directors. He returned to AXA Affin General Insurance Malaysia at the end of 2006 and assumed the role of CEO and a member of the Board of Directors until his retirement in October 2012.
He remained on the board of PT Assurance AXA until 2012. From 2013 to 2015, he was appointed as a Senior Advisor to Solution Providers Pte Ltd, a Swiss insurance solution provider/consultant based in Singapore.
He is currently Chairman of RHB Insurance Berhad and Fellow, Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom and the Malaysian Insurance Institute, Malaysia.
Additionally, he is also a Certified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner and Managing Director of Talent Lynx, a Company involved in training and coaching.
An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Chemical and Renewable Energy industries. He started his career at KPMG Chartered Accountants, KL where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He then joined BP, Asia Pacific as an Accountant serving Malaysia and Singapore BP Group of companies.
Subsequently, he was with Aker Solutions Asia Pacific, KL’s finance team before becoming Bumi Armada Bhd’s Business Controller. Upon leaving Bumi Armada Berhad, he joined RBS & Associates as a partner leading the consulting division as Director and CFO of JQ RSims Asia Pacific.
Jaya Kumaar holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from University Malaya and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He is an affiliate member of Malaysian Institute of Insurance (MII). Jaya also holds a certificate of Oil and Gas Law from BAC.
